Avid BB7 Brake Caliper Alternative for WideWheel

Sale price Price $79.00 Regular price

The Avid BB7 is an industry standard caliper around for many years. fluidfreeride fitted it to work with the WideWheel including a custom adapter.

The inner and outer brake pads are adjustable by hand while the caliper is mounted which makes this easier to maintain vs the standard caliper coming with the WideWheel. Due to larger brake pad size it should also increase brake performance. If you are unhappy with your current caliper, try this upgrade.

Comes with WideWheel custom mount, mounting bolts, and cable end cap.

fluidfreeride WW customers use code AVID4WWSAVE40 to get it for $39.

Requires you to open the WideWheel bottom cover. Have a look at our installation instructions before you buy!

The Scooter is Great Customer service is Greater!

I purchased the dual motor widewheel and I Love it! What I love most about it is where I bought it from. Peter and team have done an amazing job keeping me in the loop with tips, updates and recalls...they send parts quick and provide very good tutorials on how to replace parts. Great Team to buy from! Appreciate the updates and support guys!

great upgrade, well constructed and simple

I have tried a few different brake upgrades including the Zoom HB-100, this AVID is much simpler and much more progressive when braking (smoother). Its really easy to adjust without tools once you have it installed. I suggest getting a new tight brake cable when you do this upgrade. The FFR supplied aluminum bracket works great, and the video supplied for installation and tuning is very informative. Upgrade took me about 30 minutes in total. Very nice way to address the factory brake being a bit difficult to keep in tune.

New Brakes

Bought my scooter and had a few failures one being the brakes, replaced them with the Avid BB7 one supplied by fluid, excellent upgrade, its the brake that should have been on the scooter day one. Support from fluid has been amazing.

Wayyyyy better than stock

These are the brakes the scooter should have come with. Very easy to adjust and the pads have more surface area with the rotor. I've only taken a few rides with these but I tested them on some pretty steep hills in sf and felt way more confident picking up speed
