Go even further with twice the range

TWICE the range! Another huge advantage for the Mosquito. 

That means that the fight over the longest range is also decided in the Mosquito’s favor and with quite some margin. 20 miles (32 km) is double that of the Unagis 10 miles (16 km).

For such a small e-scooter with that much performance being able to also have good range is quite impressive. It recharges in 5 hours but you might not need to as the range might be sufficient in most cases to be able to get to and from work.

The Mosquito has a bigger battery capacity with a 46V 9,6Ah 460Wh battery vs the Unagis 31,2V 9,0Ah 282Wh.

Better Ride Quality Provides Smooth Riding on Rough Roads

The Mosquito also manages to incorporate a double spring based suspension which helps smoothen the ride out even though such a compact e-scooter will never be in competition with bigger air filled tire suspensioned scooters.

A suspension system is a necessity to provide a decent ride quality on a solid tire scooter as the ride will be very stiff and any bumps or potholes will be punishing for both scooter and rider.

• Front and rear suspension

While both these ultra portables have similar sized 8-inch (20 cm) solid tires and thereby zero chances of flats, the Unagi has chosen a “ribbed” tire which is a solid tire with perforations in it to create a cushion effect. It is no match for the Mosquito in ride quality.

The Mosquito’s deck is quite spacious as well and finding a comfortable riding position is easy.

Add cruise control to that and the journey on the Mosquito is even better.

Safer to Ride with Better Braking

The Fluid Mosquito has three brake systems, a rear drum brake, rear step on fender brake and an adjustable front regenerative throttle brake and they are very effective. It’s comforting knowing there is a triple system in place.

The Unagi One team has gone a different route and opted for dual regenerative braking and a rear step on fender brake. Although the brakes seem as good as on the Mosquito, bear in mind that should the power suddenly shut off, the brakes won't work and you must rely on the rear step on brake only.

Better Choice for all Types of Riders

While both scooters are similar in price, size, weight 29 lbs (13 kg) for the Mosquito and 26,5 lbs (12 kg) for the Unagi, the Mosquito folds into a much smaller “package”. It literally feels like you can put it in your backpack. 

The Unagi can't compete in this area as they have chosen a different type of folding construction as well as not having foldable handlebars which the Mosquito does. 

In addition, the Mosquito also has an adjustable stem so taller riders don't have to crouch down so much.

Both scooters also have an impressive max weight capacity of 265 lbs respectively. Mosquito/Unagi. 

A bigger person will be more comfortable on the Mosquito however, since the deck is so spacious and that stem can be adjusted.
