I'm blown away by this scooter. As a slightly older rider, I was looking for something well-built, comfortable, and capable but not insane. This scooter delivers on all fronts.
The Ox's single hub motor hauls my 220lb/6'4" frame at 28mph on a full battery. I think that's about 2-3x the speed I get on something like a bird or lime rental scooter. The performance drops to about 25mph at around 80% but then holds steady until about the time the battery is dead. Great performance in my opinion with these LG cells.
The comfort of the Ox is like riding a bike down the street. No more vibrations and numb hands. No worries about hitting rough parts of the road at speed. The ride clearance is high enough to take very ambitious shortcuts on the commute. The new models come with an even higher ride setting, high +, which I set my scooter to right away. (Heads up, I had to use a breaker bar because the bolts on the axle were way overtightened.) I love the feeling of cutting through the urban landscape on this lifted machine and going places cars and a lot of other scooters can't.
Not a lot to hate about this thing other than the kick-stand. The kickstand can be extended a bit by taking out the two bolts arranged vertically on the leg, moving them down, and putting those bolts back in. Ideally, Inokim would make the leg of the stand an inch or two longer now that they offer the higher ride adjustment. I think other reviewers missed the fact they could adjust it down slightly more -- it helps but it's not a great kickstand solution by any means. The lackluster display, lack of deck grip, and poor waterproofing rating are a couple of other annoying things. I'm pretty confident in my DIY waterproofing, so there's always that option.
If you buy this scooter, be sure you have a tire pressure gauge and pump up the tires before your first ride. I'm a bit obsessive about checking my tire pressure before each ride anyway. It only takes a minute but it reassures me. Inokim includes a little hand pump and some basic tools which is nice and inspires one to tinker. A popular, quick upgrade is to replace the rear brake caliper with the TRP HY/RD caliper (HD-C705).
There are also many potentially warranty-voiding things the more experienced can do. For example, I was surprised to see that a few Eastern European e-bike resellers have plug-and-play Ox harnesses for controllers like the asi bac855. Others have tutorials showing how to add ferrofluid to the rotor magnets. I could see why you'd want to push more speed out of an insanely comfortable ride, but it might be better to get a different model if that's the intention from the get-go.
Overall, I think this Ox is one of my better purchases. It's way comfortable and fast enough without the danger of hitting something going 35+mph. The perfect scooter for the adventurous middle-aged adult. I look forward to playing around further with it. Big thanks to Fluidfreeride for the great deal and quick shipping.
Haven’t ridden the Inokim enough to review, but the Horizon was purchased on 07 May, 2022, and I have accumulated over 2,000 joyful miles along with my little buddy in a dog backpack. Has the power needed to climb steep hills and bridges in NYC Zane the range to last me a few weeks.

My INOKIM OX arrived 4 days after submitting my order. The scooter was as described, in perfect working order, and is exactly what I was looking for, and is a blast to ride. I use it mainly to commute to work, saving gas and miles on my car. It has plenty of power to climb the hills on my route, and enough range to go a couple of weeks between charges. When I first got on my OX I was blown away. It took off like a Tesla, but the wind... the wind was rushing by my face so fast, I looked like a cartoon. I couldn't stop smiling, it was so much fun. My oldest son rode next, he decided to race one of our horses. This scooter rides like a luxury car and is as nimble as a high performance sports car. Finally, the range on this thing is ridiculous. I took it to dinner and back, around town, and put some serious miles on it. The thing sips voltage and rides forever. I'd highly recommend the Ox. The Fluid Freeride team have a great lineup and I can't wait to try other models. Maybe an off-road or wide-wheeled model will be next.
So forgive me for sounding a bit cynical; but reviews that occur days, weeks, or even months after ownership are useless to me. So I wanted to wait a good long time before submitting my review of the Inokim OX. I purchased this great scooter over 2 years ago from Fluidfreeride.com (awesome company BTW). I purchased this as a gift for my (at the time) 12-year-old son. And let me tell ya, this kid destroys everything he owns. This destructive force is not just negligence and lack of wisdom; it also comes from how he (in this particular case) rides. He rides hard. I put the off-road tires on the OX and he takes this thing everywhere. He does crazy jumps/stunts and seriously difficult mountain bike paths. He goes places I won’t go on my Wolf Warrior. He has put nearly 3 thousand miles on this thing and has brought it through hell and back (including mud and shrubs). I cannot say enough about the quality of this scooter. It is still going strong and we are about to take yet another off-roading vacation with it and my Wolf. I also have one more thought to share about the manufacture. They too are a great company. I have utilized their Remote Service before and they were extremely helpful. Even long after the warranty had expired; they stuck with me and helped me resolve my issue. The OX is a rock-solid beast that you cannot go wrong purchasing.
