MANTIS - Advanced All Round, Power & Range

Sale price Price $2,299.00 Regular price $2,399.00

Shipping week of Dec 16th.

The fluidfreeride MANTIS electric scooter is designed for the demanding rider who wants it all: Swift inner city commutes with strong acceleration, excellent trail performance for those fun weekend rides, large batteries to master up to 50 miles between charges, and still allows carrying in one hand.

With 61 (base version) to 65 (PRO version) pounds this scooter is the lightest in its class. It folds down easily and is still portable, despite its strong performance.

The two powerful brushless 60V 1000W motors deliver fun acceleration and climb up to 35% inclines with ease. Ride in single motor mode up to 30 mph while conserving your battery or switch on the second motor for extra acceleration and 40 mph top speed.

The front and rear advanced swing arm spring suspension delivers a smooth ride on any terrain. Ride over grass or on dirt trails, jump a curb in the city, this 40 mph electric scooter can handle pretty much any reasonable ground condition.

Dual semi-hydraulic disc brakes in the base version and full hydraulic brakes in the PRO version provide full control during your ride. The advanced display/throttle combination allows configuration of speed limit, cruise control and regenerative braking strength. The PRO version with Minimotors display also features motor torque adjustments and ABS.

2 front and rear LEDs and the bright lateral LED strip will ensure you will be seen at night. We recommend an attachable headlight for longer rides at night.

8-12h charging time with the included 2A charger. Fast charger coming soon.

Available in two variants:
- Base - 17.5Ah, 30+ mile range (ECO mode), standard display
- PRO - 24.5Ah LG, 45+ mile range (ECO mode), Minimotors display, full hydraulic brakes

Awesome ride!

Bought myself this Mantis and I have never been happier with an e-scooter. This is was first "power scooter" and it's well built and so fun to ride. Definitely coming back if and when I need an upgrade.

Mantis

I did alot of research and looked at alot of scooters and decided to go with the Mantis, it came in the mail super fast, setup was easy and fast and it's fun. It's really fast and has alot of torque at dull motors, the suspension is great it rides smooth even at full speed. I really wanted the blue lights on the sides but mine came with white, when I asked about it i was told they only come with white lights now due to a legal issue which is fine, however some guy by the name of Adam nearly made me regret buying however i eventually got ahold of Peter who was awesome and answered my questions and sent me an upgrade for blue lights free of charge so i couldn't be happier.

Tremendous Upgrade

Approximately one month ago I received my Mantis Pro scooter from Fluid Freeride. Prior to that point I had been riding the Xiaomi M365 to and from work every day. The Mantis provides far greater comfort, control, stability, power and range compared to the Xiaomi. It's almost like comparing a bicycle to a motorcycle. The scooter weighs 65 pounds, at this weight I am able to comfortably lift it over short distances. I have had zero issues with build quality and functionality. The Mantis Pro is everything I hoped it would be - a fantastic scooter.

Noise coming out of the front end

Received my scooter in Oct and immediately noticed a noise that happens when you use dual gear for max speed. It’s a clanging, grinding sound that lasts a few seconds until it hits a certain speed and then goes away. Seems like this is a motor issue in the front hub. Neighbors of mine with expensive, high performance scooter don’t have this phenomenon happening with their scooter. Anyone else notice this? Is common for Mantis? Performance seems to be fine once you get beyond it but I find it hard to believe this sound is normal. My gut tells me this front motor is defective and needs to be looked at.
Scooters top speed for me has been 38mph. (178 lbs). Batteries last maybe 9 miles using full dual motors. However, temps were in the mid 50’s and that may have had something to do with it. I bought this to joy ride and cruise around my golf community on. If anyone has input on hearing strange sounds upon throttling up with dual motors, please reach out.

Hi Todd, the motors do both make a little noise when starting up but it should not be as intense as you describe. Please send us a little video of the sound so we can identify if there is a problem and fix it for you. Thx - Peter

Good Reliable Company To Buy A Great Scooter

I originally purchased the Widewheel dual motor. Was informed that the Widewheel had brake issues and was offered to upgrade to the Mantis at a discounted price. I took the offer and went with the Mantis Pro. When I got the Mantis Pro after putting it together I noticed the hydraulic rear brake line was kinked. I emailed to let FFR know of the issue. They responded really quickly with an email and a phone call from pete. They gave me a break down of the my options to repair or replace it with another unit. I chose to attempt to repair it on my own. The new rear brake line and the new caliper arrived within 2 working days. Very fast. It took me awhile to get the scooter up and runing because of my busy schedule. But I finally got it repaired. Just like everyone here i was super anxious to ride this beast. Took it around the block and it was a blast!!! The power, handling, braking, and throttle was very smooth. I was very surprise at how good that scooter felt especially going up hills. The only draw back I have with the scooter is 2 things; The scooter is a bit larger than the normal that's why I call it the Beast and the folding mechanism is very time consuming. Wish it had a quick release design folding hardware. But overall I am very happy with this scooter. I feel like it can replace a car in terms of traveling to places because of its speed and distance.

Conclusion.....
If you want a good powerful scooter the Mantis it + This company has very good customer support and service that knows alot about the product they sell. = Buy your next scooter from them. I will most definitely not hesitate to order another product from FFR. Very happy with my order. Thank You
