COMMUNITY REVIEWS

"Best Mantis yet! - The Mantis King GT does everything really well, braking, acceleration, smoothness, top speed, range, and just look at it. Our wish list for 2022 had a lot of things on it: better IP ratings, better displays, thumb throttles, hydraulic suspension, sine-wave motor controllers, and more 21700 battery cells. The Mantis King GT just checked all of those boxes."

SCOOTERS SOLD

Join our fast growing community of smart riders who value fast, fun & eco-friendly transportation and industry leading support.

> 470,000 hours
TIME SAVED PER YEAR

Never get stuck in traffic again. At just 20 minutes commuting time saved per week(!) and rider, our community got back a cumulative 50 years in time to spend on better things. If you personally were able to save just 20 minutes every work-day, you would free up over 80 hours every year.

> $3 MILLION
SAVED ON GAS PER YEAR

By replacing your car for just 15 miles every week our rider community is saving big on gas alone. That does not take into account any other expenses of owning a car. By some estimates, an individual rider can save around $8,000 per year by retiring the car in favor of an electric scooter.

> 1 MILLION
TREES PLANTED

While an electric scooter already helps reduce carbon emissions, we are donating part of our revenue to Trees for the Future who have planted over a million trees on our behalf, more than off-setting our operation's carbon footprint.

FAQ

  • Is the scooter legal to use where I am?

Electric scooters are relatively new and regulations differ widely. Our customers are responsible for ensuring a legal operation in line with local rules and regulations. Electric scooters are the future and we believe that with the continued rise of scooter sharing companies and the accompanying rise in popularity of electric scooters, more and more cities will pass favorable regulations. We collected some more information in our blog. ONLY YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING YOU OPERATE YOUR SCOOTER IN LINE WITH LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS.

  • Will the charger work in my country and come with the right plug?

Our chargers are rated 110V - 240V so they work everywhere. We make an effort to ship every scooter with the correct plug for the country it gets delivered to.

  • How long does it take to charge the battery?

With the two included chargers, it takes between 7-8 hours for a full reacharge.

  • What is the weight limit of the Mantis King GT and what happens if I am heavier?

The manufacturer recommended weight limit of the Mantis King GT is 265 lbs. If you are heavier than this, we cannot recommend the scooter for you. Do have a look at other customer's reviews as we often have heavier customers buy our products at their own risk and have overall good experiences.

Amazingly Quick

I've only just received it and haven't had time to do a full review, but it'll definitely do 40+ mph. I appreciate the brake lights. I really want to do more miles on it to get a better appreciation on its performance and long term reliability but its build quality is top notch.

After buying (and returning or selling) 5 high speed adult scooters, I found my one true love. The Mantis GT! I was hesitant to buy because I like to stick with Amazon for their return policy, but fluidfree's reputation made me feel safe. After 600mi, I have zero regrets. I had one small question and they replied immediately. The Mantis GT itself is like riding a Cadillac mixed with a Porsche. It's adjustable suspension is awesome. It's acceleration is the best in its price range. I know it says 43MPH is top, but I (being 6'4"&220lbs) have gotten up to 48.2MPH. It's great for city commuting at reasonable speeds, or like my commute, doing 40+MPH in the bike lane. I make my 4.8mi trip to work in 8min. To be honest, it's the best part of my workday and I almost wished that I live further from work! If you want acceleration, a QUALITY build, a great top speed, and a reasonable range, then this scooter is for you. Don't hesitate and you won't be sorry. Also, buy a motorcycle helmet (and a "dash cam" for it) and gloves immediately. A 40+MPH impact with a car or curb could be deadly. I know it's a lot of money, but buy it, and be safe out there!

The best scooter in its price range. I've been through a lot of scooters and this is the winner. It goes faster and farther than advertised. Easy tire changes and built from the best materials. You will NOT regret this purchase!

I had another brand of scooter before this one... night and day difference in the quality of build and parts. Do not hesitate to buy this. Best purchase I've made in the last decade so far. Great for commuting to work.

If you are taller than 5'10" you may want to go with a different kaabo that has higher handle bars.

Maybe bigger wheels?

I love the fit and finish of everything on my Mantis King GT. I used it mainly Off-Road and it really has all of the power and strength I want even up hills.....My only minor concern (question, debate, thought, etc) is maybe 11 or 12 in tires would be ideal. I know there is a trade off....I just think the 10 inch might be a tad too small for some offroad conditions.
