Learn More About Trees for the Future - Our Partner to Plant 100 Trees for Every Deal
We lose trees at a rate of 50 soccer fields per minute as our food systems destroy our ecosystems. Most of this degradation occurs in the developing tropics of Africa, Latin America, and South and Southeast Asia where hundreds of millions of chronically-hungry, smallholder farming families use destructive and short-sighted agricultural practices that further degrade their communities trees, soil, water and biodiversity, making them even more likely to migrate and more vulnerable to the climate changes that lie ahead.
The Forest Garden Program is a simple, replicable and scalable approach with proven success. By planting specific types of fast-growing trees, fruit trees, hardwoods and food crops in a systematic manner over a four year period, families can positively change their lives forever. Forest Gardens consist of thousands of trees that provide families with sustainable food sources, livestock feed, products to sell, fuel wood and a 400% increase in their annual income in four years.

I’ve been a customer of Fluid Free Rides for a while now I started off with the mercane wide wheel pro and now have a mantis 10 before that. I can truly say these are people who put the customer first if there’s ever a problem they are right on top of it I can’t think of anyone else I would ever go to for a scooter, they have an elite selection of scooters for anyone for any condition for any time five stars that’s where you go to go get Scooters
There are many scooters out there, but not many are based here in the USA. Everything about my purchase meets or exceeds my expectations. I bought a Burn E because I wanted the best scooter available: this is it. It's basically the Corvette of scooters. It is OMG fast! I love how everything can be dialed in. The suspension is amazing. I might even get a second, mid-range scooter for friends and family from Fluidfreeride. The customer service is remarkable. If you're considering buying a scooter, Fluidfreeride can't be beat. I can't thank them enough for a very nice buying experience. They will have more business from me in the future:)
We got our 8 year old daughter the City rider for Christmas and it is everything we could have hoped for. It may be on the bigger side for her right now but she won’t outgrow it. She got comfortable riding it very quickly the app is great that you can limit speed until more comfortable. Am also very happy with the smooth ride without the worry of a flat tire. I am glad I purchased from here may have paid a little more than other brands but I believe in you get what you pay for. We look forward to many years of riding.
I starred with a Glion Dolly (1,000 miles), then a Horizon (1,000 Miles), then Mantis Base (5,000 miles), then Mantis Pro (5,000 miles). The Burn-E makes a Mantis feel like a toy. The acceleration from 25-50 MPH is instant and breathtaking. Automobiles stare in shocked disbelief as I regularly blow past them or refuse to let them pass me. I haven’t had to install the damper despite regularly traveling in the mid to high 50’s (MPH). Vegas has many straight, newly paved roads which are obviously ideal for this scooter. Once you get used to the feel at high speeds and the braking configuration you start to safely harness the power. Riding on curvy county-type roads I’m sure is a different story and would require putting on the damper.
The sine wave power delivery is refreshing after dealing with the herky jerkyness of a Mantis Pro. Not having to worry about the scooter flying out of your hands when you unwittingly start off in turbo is heavenly. In fact, in all max settings you can easily maneuver the Burn-E onto a sidewalk at 3 mph and then get it up to 58 MPH a few seconds later. Also, the range is spectacular.
The scooter is BIG but the stem keeps that minimalist look that I’ve always liked about the Mantis. If a cop takes an interest I can still pretend to be pushing it like it’s not even electric to throw them off the scent.
This would be a scary machine for a beginner. Over 12,000 miles of experience was helpful as I graduated to this type of high performance machine. Also, I take familiar routes where I know every pothole and hazard… I would not take this out at high speeds on unfamiliar roads or terrain.
Fluidfreeride’s shipping and customer service were excellent as always. The power and acceleration of the Burn-E are stunning; many times per day I thank myself for pulling the trigger on this purchase.
I have put off this review long enough. I am now at 319 miles so this is long overdue. I purchased the 13Ah version because I wanted a scooter that could get me to school and back (14 miles round trip) on a single charge without giving me range anxiety, needing a replacement battery too soon (since all batteries loose capacity overtime with each charge cycle), and without the speed falling to a crawl as I approached my destination. This scooter has passed all of these requirements with flying colors.
To get down to business with the real world specs (from my experience):
my weight: I am 5'11" and 190lbs (86.18 Kg). Fully loaded up with my backpack and gear Im probably closer to 210 lbs (95.25 Kg)
Speed: I get 23 mph with a full charge on flat ground with or without my heavy backpack on, and I've hit 29mph downhill. Ascending the steepest hill on my commute, the speed falls to 16 mph which is so much faster than even the fittest cyclists around me. Speed falls down to about 20mph on flat ground when the battery is at half capacity.
range: As advertised so far. I ride this scooter in the highest speed setting with the throttle wide open at all times and can get 26 miles in a single charge which is incredible.
Ride quality: I had no Idea how smooth those little shocks (1 in the front and 2 in the rear) would smooth out the ride. I wanted to avoid solid tires but the suspension more than makes up for the typically harsh feel of a solid rear tire and I actually appreciate the added protection against flats (my city preys on tires of all types). People often say "if you hit one small crack, your teeth are gone," and I confidently tell them that this is not the case. A massive crater of a pothole could (my city is full of them) but that's why you pay attention. The scooter is so nimble that this is easy to avoid as long as you're vigilant.
charging: as advertised 6hrs to full charge
portability: extremely small footprint as advertised and easy to throw in even the tiniest of ubers if need be. The folding handlebars are a gem for this and I can't imagine not having this feature.
My two biggest concerns before purchasing this scooter were the lack of an IPX waterproof rating and the hill climbing capability. Just like all the others, those concerns have also been put to rest. My commute involves a hill that is not only very steep but also very very long. I am pretty fit and active and that hill is tough to even walk up from start to finish. Seasoned cyclists love using it to train on, and I can zoom past all of them on my way to the top. Equally as important, this doesn't put nearly the dent into my charge as I thought it would.
As for the lack of an IPX rating, you'll be fine so long as you don't plan on consistently riding in the rain. it's generally best not to ride any scooter in wet conditions. Even if the battery is protected, this can shorten the life of the scooter if not tended too properly but more important is the impact on safety. That said, getting caught in a little shower has been no big deal for me.
This scooter is fast, fun, easy to transport, and has already saved me so much on gas. I only take my car out now if it rains or the temps drop below freezing (and I have ridden it down to 32 degrees multiple times)
I'll end this post with a few tips. Purchase some eye protection or wear sunglasses. You move surprisingly quick, so bugs or particles getting in your eye can be startling. Buy a handlebar mounted light to increase your visibility in traffic and to better illuminate your path (a red light for your helmet is also a good idea for rear visibility). Avoid riding if the temps go below freezing as this has the potential to cause plating in the battery and reduce its lifespan. Avoid the rain but if you get caught in a light shower, she can take it. Just dry her off with a rag when you get home.
Thank you Fluidfreeride for this amazing product! I've been singing your praises far and wide!
Straight Out/of Box. Love to go fast. So,,I read through manuals. Cause I'm also a Speed Reader. Secured handle bar, unfolded, secured the stem, [front end].And from my Kribb, 4 blocks down and back and was plesantly surprised to plesantly pleased in all of about 20 seconds. And I apolegize. I do know better. I raced H/P Karts for years even after it almost killed me. That being said. You say you can't afford [PPE]? Don't really need it? Don't B/A Fool. It's too uncomfortable to wear.. DON'T BE A FOOL !!,.. These are serious machines. Go fast and wear your Personal Protective Equipment.😁😆😅😆,,.
Please relocate the charging ports. TY
Very happy with my Horizon! Edgar provided excellent customer service all throughout the process.
I needed one small adjustment on the scooter, stopped by unannounced and their mechanic tweaked it on the spot.
They have a great team and awesome products!
Can‘t beat the fact that they‘re local which is a huge advantage for maintenance or needed repairs, parts etc.
A+ from me
Love the scooter in every aspect! I live in NYC and it’s perfect for the awful NYC traffic. I would ask for a better folding mechanism but other than that, the scooter is just perfect!
After coming from GoTrax and [****] Pro, this is just a totally different world. Assembling the handlebars is a little bit of a pain (especially with the included multi-tool) as the one cross bar limits access to fully turning the bolts. Just use a regular hex key. I def have to adjust the location of the left brake a bit because it's pointing way down. Also showed up with a little ding on the handlebars ...not dented, just the black anodized looking metal surface rubbed away a bit showing silver underneath. Not a huge deal. The scooter itself takes bumps like a champ - love the suspension. On all max power modes it is a beast! I haven't even gotten it to top speed yet - but the acceleration is awesome. I just bought a Mantis Pro SE from another vendor and it's acceleration is sick as well but the Wolf is smoother and a bit less "head whipping" which is a good thing. I only wish I could swap the display for an Ey3. My Mantis has one and it's loads better. I wonder if it can be used on the WolfX Base with the Kaabo Sine controller? I would have gladly paid extra for it. This one is fine but it's just def more cumbersome to use and I will pay anyone to tell me how to disable that password lol. Lighting is pretty awesome...and horn is LOUD! I'm not crazy about how flimsy the material is for the deck lights...but they do look cool and like the ability to customize via the app. Only owned it for a week...but so far so good! I'm bummed here in Upstate NY that I'll have to put it in the basement for the winter so stay warm. No riding till Spring I guess.
I am Impressed not only with the product I purchased, but the company (Fluid Free Ride) as well.
I really like that FFR has a call and service source. Before purchasing I had given them a call to make sure they were on the up and up. I was able to speak to a representative that was very helpful, informative and pleasant to speak with.
I like the fact that FFR has a plethora of parts for all of the scooters they sell. In the past with the other scooters I own, I have felt like I was out in the wind with very little help from the other companies. I do not have that concern with FFR.
After purchasing my Burn E viper it took approximately a week and a half to receive it. Upon arrival from a third party delivery company, my scooter was strapped and wrapped on a pallet, obviously packaged with care at extra expense and effort from FFR. The box was in excellent shape.
Before receiving my purchase, FFR sent me an email with a video that went into detail on set up and what expect. I found this to be a really nice touch.
Now for my opinion on the Burn E Viper, it is what I would consider military grade. It is built extremely well, it is very fast and has very good handling and brakes. I consider it the Lamborghini of scooters.
In closing, if I was asked if I would purchase this product again? I would!
I'm surrounded by hills, not that steep so I thought... but after trying a couple of other popular sub-1kw scooters and having to help them up the hills I finally bit the bullet and got the Explore. I don't know what I like more, but climbing long hills much faster than walking has got to be high on the list. The "real" suspension is up there too, because this thing goes faster than thought I would ever need, but sometimes, with cars around you - faster is safer. Scooter arrived in 2 days to SoCal, the box had some shipping damage but the Explore did not. The suspension had a squeak that got louder every mile, but a quick spray of silicon where the swing arm pivots at the deck and it's now completely silent. A long ride today over many hills got me home with 3 bars left - I believe in the long range. Nothing left to do but enjoy it instead of the bus, see what I can wear out, and how quickly I can get parts for normal maintenance. I would definitely recommend this ride for a serious commuter, and even a casual joy rider.
This is a must have item for your scooter! It has an on/off switch, a display showing rate of charge and voltage attained during the charge process, a cooling fan, a charge rate selector (1 thru 5), and a percentage charge stop selection knob. Used it to do the second charge on my scooter yesterday. I selected a medium charge rate 3, 100% charge, connected it to the scooter charging port and turned it on. The charger display showed the battery charge was at 46 V and it was charging at 3 amp. Over the next 5 hours I was able to monitor the charging as it approached full charge of 58.8V. As expected, at about 55V the charging rate started slowing as it approached the 58.8V full charge. When it "feathered" to the full charge of 58.8 it shut off charging and the green light came on. Watching this process makes me feel much more comfortable in safely charging these batteries! The charger that came with the scooter will become a standby for emergency use only.
To me it is very comforting to be able to visually monitor the battery charging process. Makes me feel safer! A must have item! :)
The Fluid City Rider is the best all-around scooter I can yet still find even after purchase. I have poured weeks of research and comparisons of price and features and parts and maintenance and nothing comes close. I still stumble across links for really nice scooters and feared I’ve made the wrong decision in my purchase a half-dozen time but always, upon inspection, I come to the same conclusion: The Fluid City Rider is the best all-around beginner scooter in it’s price range with the best maintenance and parts support on the market that I can find.
The take-off is smoothe. The honeycomb wheels and motor are ample at the least. The frame is solid and the look and design of the scooter turns heads everywhere I go. It arrived far sooner than I’d hoped and I put it together in minutes. It was rideable before the sun went down and what a beautiful sunset it was.
Maintenance support on the fluid free ride website is a dream (I needed help with mild alignment) and I have utter peace of mind with the scooter’s longevity. I can ride it like a hellbent beast but I prefer to coast and my commute is now a breeze. I have already collected a dozen ideal accessories for it and I feel I could trot the globe with the City Rider.
Keep the board clean (it attracts dust), keep the frame dry/clean/well protected (there is some negligible emerging rust inside the hinge thus-far I may have to tend to), I think the underside should be coddled (not abused) and the app enablement is the Scottie for this Enterprise - don’t forget it. 👍🏼 👍🏼
I have now had the Horizon for approximately 2 weeks and have had no issues. My longest ride has been 6 miles and the battery indicator still showed full bars. The ride is very smooth on asphalt, but can be a little rough on concrete with cracks, etc., due to the solid rear wheel. I would have preferred a pneumatic rear wheel, but it is not a big issue and I would encourage others to purchase this model. the shock absorbers work well and are worth the extra cost. Most of my riding has been in level 2, and allows for speeds up to 12 to 14 mph. For me, this is a very comfortable speed, but in level 3 at 20 mph, the scooter is very stable and smooth. Riding with my 6 year old daughter with her e-scooter is a joy. We keep our speeds down to 9 mph on local park trails, and no one has complained about the e-scooters. We are always courteous to walkers and joggers, and never pass them without catching their attention. Sometimes this is hard if they have earbuds, so we pull past slowly. No harm, no foul. Great machine for pleasure and I now use it to go to the grocery store for items I can fit in a backpack. Never have to worry about parking! I’ll be purchasing another e-scooter for my wife and my family will begin our urban exploring. Thank you Fluidfreeride for a wonderful product and great customer service.
Got these to use while riding ATV and Scooter. I have been using them for a couple weeks and they are doing great! They fit well, are very comfortable, and seem to be very well constructed. Expect they will last a long time. I would buy them again!
